ABOUT THE ARTIST
Twin Flames has carved a distinct niche in the music world by seamlessly blending cultures, continents, and musical styles. This husband-and-wife duo, Jaaji (Inuk from Nunavik and Mohawk from Kahnawake) and Chelsey June (of Settler, Algonquin, Métis, and Cree heritage), met during the filming of APTN's TAM in 2014 and formed Twin Flames in 2015. Since then, they have become celebrated figures in the music industry, earning widespread international acclaim and numerous awards.
Recipients of 4 Canadian Folk Music Awards, 3 Native American Music Awards, 3 Summer Solstice Indigenous Music Awards, and the 2022 Capital Music Award for Group of the Year, Twin Flames have demonstrated exceptional talent and artistry. Their body of work transcends genres, with critics labeling their music as indie rock, synth rock, and folk pop, among others.
